We highly recommend the latest thing down at the Thomas Lord in West Meon - Open Mic Nights.
Here you can hear all sorts of bands and performers. Last Saturday saw some of Different Place (oka No Through Road) and a couple of The Shorthorns (oka The Prime) bashing out some semi-accoustic numbers in front of a throbbing throng.
Saturday also saw the inaugural performance of the Dave The Bass Trio (aka DTBT) (oka the Dave The Bass Quartet (aka DTBQ), but John was kindly ferrying schoolgirls around Hampshire "OMG x 1,000 LOL"). Dave, Charlie and Tess ran through an eclectic and just-about-polished-enough set of four songs.
Inevitably, the house band (that's us) finished off the evening with a few old favourites.
